How many IGCSE Maths past papers should you complete?
There is no useful universal number. A smaller set that is marked, corrected and retested can teach more than a large stack completed without review.
Use a review cycle
- Complete one paper under chosen conditions.
- Mark and classify every lost mark.
- Revise the highest-impact gaps.
- Retest with targeted questions.
- Complete the next full paper after enough time to learn from the first.
Track evidence
Record date, paper, conditions, raw score, topics lost and whether corrections were later reproduced without help. This makes progress comparable.
Avoid exhausting scarce papers
Keep some suitable recent papers unseen for realistic checks. Use topic questions and older material for learning between full-paper attempts.
