Privacy notice

This notice describes the current product implementation. It should be read with the data security page and updated whenever the processing purpose, provider, retention period or product workflow changes.

Data processed

  • Account details such as email address and authentication identifiers
  • Basic profile details such as the name attached to an account
  • Classroom, study and marking records created through the product
  • Uploaded script pages and the file names supplied by the user
  • Generated marking results, explanations, warnings and technical job status
  • Contact-form content and basic website request or analytics data

Purposes

Data is used to provide authentication, maintain the user's workspace, process marking requests, return and recover results, support users, prevent abuse and understand basic product reliability.

Service providers

  • Supabase for authentication and application data
  • Vercel for website and serverless hosting
  • Hugging Face inference routing and the downstream inference provider selected for a request
  • Formspree for contact-form delivery where the form is enabled

Retention and rights

Local upload files remain in browser storage until the local job or browser data is removed. Server records and provider logs may persist for operational, security or backup periods. A final production retention schedule is not yet stated in the repository.

Use the Maiths contact form to request access, correction or deletion. Identity may need to be verified before account data is disclosed or removed. Legal rights depend on location and the role in which Maiths processes the data.

Children and school use

A parent, guardian, school or other authorised adult should assess whether the service is appropriate where a learner cannot provide valid consent or where another lawful basis is required. Do not upload another person's work without authority.
